Everything Podra does
What does Podra do? It masters, trims, transcribes and edits your recording, drafts chapters, clips, notes and titles, exports the package and hosts your RSS feed. Everything below is built and works today.
Audio
- Loudness mastered to podcast targets. Two-pass EBU R128 normalisation to -16 LUFS for stereo and -19 LUFS for mono, with true peaks held under -1.5 dBTP. The episode page shows the before and after.
- Silence trimmed. Dead air at the start and end is removed automatically; long pauses inside the episode are suggested as cuts instead, so you decide.
- Multitrack. Upload one track per speaker (2 to 4); Podra mixes them for the master and labels each word by whose track is loudest.
- Video podcasts. Upload MP4 or MOV; Podra works on the sound and cuts clips from the picture.
Transcript and text-based editing
- Timestamps and speakers. Every word has its time. Speakers come from your tracks, or are told apart by voice in a single file; rename them or move any part to another speaker.
- Fillers and long pauses, suggested. Um, uh, erm and pauses over 1.6 seconds are highlighted with Cut and Keep, or accept them all at once. Nothing is cut until you accept it.
- Cut by deleting words. Select words in the transcript and cut them from the audio. Play with your edits before you export; undo any cut.
- Fix the words. Correct a misheard name without touching the audio.
Drafts you edit
- Chapters. Titles and start times at real changes of topic, moved automatically to match your cuts.
- 3 to 5 clips. Moments that stand on their own, with start and end on whole words. Accept the ones you want.
- Show notes, titles and a description. Notes in Markdown with a summary and key points (guest and quotes for interview shows, timestamps for video podcasts), four title options and a description for podcast apps.
- What was used, and how. Each draft says whether it came from AI or, without AI, from simple rules. Regenerate any part from the transcript.
Export
- The episode. MP3 (with ID3 chapter marks and tags) or a 16-bit WAV.
- Chapters. Podcasting 2.0 JSON chapters, plus the ID3 chapters inside the MP3.
- Transcript. SRT, WebVTT with speaker tags, and plain text, timed to the edited episode.
- Show notes. Markdown and HTML.
- Clips. Each accepted clip as an MP3, captions (SRT) and a captioned vertical (9:16) video.
- One ZIP. Everything except the WAV and clip videos in a single download.
Your show's RSS feed
- Hosted by Podra. Each show gets an RSS feed with the iTunes tags Apple requires and Podcasting 2.0 tags (guid, locked, transcript, chapters).
- Private until you publish it. You make the feed public, and add each episode to it, yourself. Podra checks the show has what directories need first.
- You submit it. Copy the feed address into Apple Podcasts Connect, Spotify for Creators, YouTube, Amazon or Podcast Index. Podra never posts anywhere for you.
Your data and your team
- Export and delete. Download everything as JSON, delete an episode with its files, or the whole workspace. Original uploads are deleted 14 days after processing; masters and exports stay until you delete them.
- Roles. Owner, admin, producer and viewer. Studio includes 5 seats.
